That is what happened when an 8-year-old boy learned that his favorite Waffle House server was living in a motel with his family.
The boy had gotten to know the server during visits to the restaurant and considered him someone special. When he discovered that the man and his family were facing difficult living circumstances, the child didn’t simply feel sorry for them. He wanted to do something.
With the help of adults, he set up a GoFundMe campaign with an initial goal of $5,000.
